Embraced Within the Fog

A Choice

I was driving home after a wonderful morning with a friend when I noticed how much the fog had enveloped everything. I thought how cool the pictures would be at the arboretum. Almost passing up this moment because I didn’t have my good camera, I decided my phone’s camera would be good enough. The moment was here and I didn’t want it to slip away  just because the pictures wouldn’t turn out “Perfect“. I’m glad I did because I would have missed out on soo much fun and love.

Towards the middle of my adventure I made one of my famous snow hearts ❤ ❤ Odin had a good time too 😉 ~ ❤ We even came across deer tracks, which Odin followed enthusiastically. The rest of my time out and about though was pretty much absorbed in silence.

When I left the arboretum I picked up where I left off at home. I grabbed my camera and went out to my favorite spot.

My connection with this tree is beyond words ❤ ! I’m not sure which one I like best, lol.

A Reflection From Nature

The top left was at the end of the day at my mother’s house. At any other angle this rock looks nothing like a heart! The top right and bottom left were after my favorite tree. The last heart is a deer’s footprint in the snow, at the right perspective 😉 .

As I walked back nature reflected my snow heart, from earlier, back at me four times the amount of love that I gave ;). I’m really glad I didn’t let the fear of my phone’s camera not being good enough get in the way of all that I experienced today. If you ever feel the need to capture or express anything, take that moment…. the choice is yours~ ❤ !

A Sudden Urge to Expose

I’m Ready…

This morning I happened to see a friend(on Facebook) was applying for the “Fall into the Arts” in our home town. For about 5 years now I have wanted to share my art, but haven’t felt ready or good enough to. Today the timing feels right so I’m putting myself out there. Only thing is now I don’t know where to start!

My confusion starts with what medium and theme should I choose? I have tons of Nature, Heart Photography, and Digital Anime to pick from. Could I group these all together? I think I might. If I say “Mixed Digital Photography” as a medium and as a theme I think “Love of Nature” fit well. This would be the first time I have exposed my art at an event and I’m kind of nervous. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? What do you think?

Here are a few types I’d like to enter:

Nature Art Hearts

Nature’s Hearts

Nature Photography

Digital Anime

Hearts Hearts Everywhere!

I recently found a Facebook group dedicated to posting pictures of hearts and I have to tell you I am excited to find more people that see hearts 😀 . “Show Your Hearts!” has refueled my desire to share my Nature Hearts and Heart Art again so stay tuned 😉 ❤

Evening Magic

Sooo, I’ve been kind of a nature recluse and hadn’t been out to soak in the outdoor vibes in quite some time.

Even though I was tired yesterday, I drove myself to the arboretum to take some pictures and I’m glad I did. I quickly regained my vigor after a few minutes of being out. I’m not sure why I stay away for so long, lol, I honestly feel much better mentally, physically, and spiritually every time I submerge myself in nature~ ❤

Can you see the tiny heart on this maple tree? 😉

The real magic began when I saw the sun lighting up the grass.

When I got home the effects I felt at the arboretum seemed to follow me home 😉  <3. Another fun trip back to myself.

Activity: Hearts in Nature/ Creating Your Own

Step #1

Go outside and see if you can find naturally formed hearts (either rocks, leaves, anything that seems to jump out at you) and write down the objects that looked like hearts.

Step #2

Create your own heart in nature, an example is below (Please use only what you find outside to create your art piece or materials that will not hurt the environment).

Step #3

In either writing or with a photo share what hearts you have seen out in nature and what you experienced when creating your own heart outside. Share your comments either with a link to your picture or about your experience doing this activity. For more information/prizes click HERE.
